The Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) organised a day-long Career Carnival 2025 that was filled with enjoyment. People from the business world, the IT industry, startups, and research organisations all came together. The event gave students a one-of-a-kind chance to learn about different career paths and talk to professionals from a wide range of fields.
The funfair took place on Friday, 28 November, in the seminar room of the university’s Third Academic Building. As the main guest, Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Azim Akhand, Vice-Chancellor of MBSTU, was there. Professor Dr. Md. Fazlul Karim, who is in charge of the Student Welfare and Counselling Centre, was the special guest.
Sayedul Azhar Sarwar, Head of Business at Partex Star Group; Kamrul Islam, Manager at US-Bangla Airlines; S. M. Asif Bin Azgar, Assistant Manager at an MNC; Benjir Abrar, Founder of Excellence Academy; Adrik Eshna Purbaasha, Manager at BRAC Microfinance; Farhan Sakib, Program Lead at Ten Minute School; Mir Moinul Islam, Faculty Member at Uttara University; Asaduzzaman Joy, Content Creator; Hasan Mahmud Samrat, Co-Founder of Excellence Academy; Maimuna Sarker, Assistant Manager at Pran-RFL Group; and Mohammad Tanzil, Executive in Brand and Marketing were some of the well-known industry professionals who gave keynote speeches.
Students took part in career assistance seminars, CV reviews, simulated interviews, and visits to corporate booths, where different companies talked about job openings and internships. Participants could talk directly with company executives, get tailored job advice, and show off their abilities. A lot of final-year students came.The day-long Career Carnival was a great way for new graduates and students looking for work to learn more about career planning. It was a big step forward in building the bridge between academia and industry at MBSTU.
