MBSTU Nutrition Club Announces Executive Committee for 2025–26 Term

The Nutrition Club of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) recently revealed its executive committee for the 2025–2026 academic year. The committee, which was formed on December 9, 2025, will be in charge of planning and overseeing the club’s academic, research, and outreach activities over the next year.The new structure has made Professor Dr. Md Azizul Haque, who is in charge of the Department of Food Technology and Nutritional Science (FTNS), the club’s president. Abdullah Al Mahfuz will be the Vice President, and Sneha Snal will be the General Secretary.

Members of the Executive Committee have been filled as follows:

Nosibur Rahman Nosib, Azizul Haque Limon, and Naoshin Tabassum are the joint secretaries. Shamim Hossain, Mimma, and Anisur Rahman are in charge of organising. Arpita Sikder, Imtiaz Ahmed Shimon, and Md Tanzil are the office secretaries. Shirin Shila, Shayanti Shaili Das, and Khandaker Meraj are the cultural secretaries. Tasrin Nawr Rishi and Marjia Sadeq Mehuli are the Social Welfare Secretaries. Israt Jahan (Asha), Chanchal Kumar Saha, and Md Anwar Hossain Ananda are the Print and Publication Secretaries. Samapti Khan and Tarana Akter Borsha are the public relations secretaries.Ayesha Siddika Asha and Shahriar Ahmed Shawon  are the secretaries for research and development. Riaz Uddin and Tanvir Ahmed Tanvi are the sports secretaries. The committee has chosen Md Shamim to be its Treasurer.

Also, a few students have been chosen to be Batch Treasurers. These are Mirza Sumaiya Alam, Mohibul Habib, Gour Paul, Mohsena Tabassum Mahi, Fatiha Alam, and Nusrat Jahan Urmi. Nusrat Jahan Rukhsana, Md Sajedul, Shreya Azmi, Kishor Kumar Saha, Imran Hossain, and Naimul Islam Sagar are also representatives from other batches.

Vice President Abdullah Al Mahfuz, after his appointment stated that it was a great honour and shared his vision for the post, which included raising students’ understanding of nutrition, encouraging a research-driven academic atmosphere, and putting health-focused programs in place all throughout campus.

He stressed how important it is to work with teachers, students, and stakeholders in the FTNS Department. He said that students need to have a good understanding of nutrition in order to help establish a healthy and sustainable society.

General Secretary Sneha Snal, for her part, said that her first aim would be to work closely with students to make the club a more official and respected academic platform. She talked about intentions to improve both theoretical and practical knowledge of nutrition, as well as help people network professionally to help them get jobs in the future. She went on to say that working together and leading as a group will help the Nutrition Club become a place where students can learn, come up with new ideas, and grow professionally.
